come talk..

come talk..

Several months ago I stumbled across this video of what has become known as Randy Pausch, The last Lecture. Like most people that have watched it I was very moved by its content. I'll leave the reasons for my enjoying it aside but I have a couple of questions that have been nagging me ever since I saw this.

One is the Building Virtual Worlds class that he set up at CMU. I haven't researched the time line but it seems to me that Andy and Josh would have both been in school sometime before or after this course was started. And I could certainly be sold on that course being fertile ground for your ideas that would later become ATitD. Were you you guys indeed in that class and if so can you comment on your memory of it? If not, did the existence of this class influence you?

The second question is about the ETC, last I recall Josh was attached to the ETC in a role related to the Panda project. Did the ETC come later after you had started ATitD, or was that too an influence on your later creative endeavors?

Thank you for reading Andy, I'd love to hear your insights on this.
