Skill queue: Why does the game still lack one?

Skill queue: Why does the game still lack one?

Four times in the last 24 hours I could have benefited from having a skill queue.

Once yesterday when my ISP broke my internet connection.

Twice last night (two chars) when I wanted to train a short skill but go to bed immediately.

Once when there was an unannounced extension to the downtime this morning.

I'm sure most other players could say the same thing.

As with most issues in my experience... there are viable alternative workarounds.

One such workaround in this case is the following...

Have a Tri-training program. By this I mean have a shortlist of long, medium and short skills that require training.

Most people know when they will / wont be able to get online and roughly what time.

For example... I know that I can briefly get online every evening of the week at around 6pm GMT. I get up out of my bed 3 times a week (the rest I stay at some girls house). That means I can log on briefly 3 mornings a week at around 6.30am GMT. On weekends I can get online on Saturday at around 1300GMT and sometimes on Sunday late evening.

By knowing all of this I can set skills going accordingly. If I know I might not get online for 3 days I will train up BC 4 which will take 6 or so days to complete. If I know that I will be online for a good 5 hours on a Saturday then I will train some shorter skills in order to add those to my "medium term" skill shortlist.

By operating like this you actually lose very little training time from skills completing whilst you are fast asleep, eating food, doing drugs or whatever it is that tickles your fancy!

I hope this is taken in the constructive fashion in which it was intended to be delivered.
