With the blue shinies being lore, and now you can't harvest them very effectivally they will only become more and more expensive.  Before the current lu if you had a blue shiney you could keep harvesting (a single node) till you got the one you didn't have, you where limited on the number you could sell at any given time but it was workable.

Now if you harvest a blue shiney and currently have that one either you delete the one you have to harvest the current node or you wait for the node to despawn and respawn.  Already I have seen the people that normally sell shinies pull all their stock out of the market. Prices will go back to costing 25+ plat for a set like it was with them being such a pain to harvest.

There are "expert recognition" collection quests.  When you complete the quest you are rewarded with a helm that gives you the ability to see blue shineys.  These collections give substantially better rewards than traditional collections, and the shinies themselves are on more static spawns, traditionally in difficult to reach places.
